ENERGY - Why Natural Gas Traders Don't Fret Hurricane Season Anymore

Even before the official start of hurricane season on June 1, weather buffs were treated late last week to Hurricane Barbara smashing into southern Mexico with surprising strength. But despite the remnants of Barbara still churning in the southern Gulf of Mexico and likely to hit Florida later in the week, natural gas traders just can't get excited about hurricane threats the way they used to.
