The headline of a May 21 report in the Oil and Gas Journal reads "Barclays: US gas exports to Mexico will accelerate". That's right - natural gas being exported to Mexico, via pipelines, has been a feature of our export picture for many years, since at least the 1930s, per the U.S. Energy Information Agency (EIA).
