BOOKS - Today's Launch of The Digital Public Library of America

The Digital Public Library of America (DPLA) went live a few hours ago. It's the culmination of the work, over the last couple of years, of thousands of people and institutions. But it's just the beginning. Starting with over two million items, each with its own special story and significance, the Digital Public Library of America will continue to assemble items from America's libraries, archives, and museums, and connect them with the public.
