EARTH - How Harvard Students Explore Ancient Egypt From Cambridge With New 3D Technology

Back when I was in college and grad school, we still used microfiche and the Dewey Decimal System. Today's students get the full benefit of cutting-edge technology to enhance their education. I was able to check out some proprietary new 3D technology in Cambridge at Harvard University, where Egyptology students are being offered courses that literally transport them to a real-time virtual reconstruction of the Giza Plateau, based on actual archeological data gathered by Harvard and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA) expeditions to Egypt in the first part of the 20th century.
