CLIMATE - Climate change is top threat, says US Navy commander

Julia Whitty at Mother Jones recently had a great piece about how the US Navy is responding to climate change. This week, she reports that Admiral Samuel Locklear, commander of the US Pacific Command, told a group of scholars at Harvard and Tufts universities that the biggest long-term security threat in the Pacific region is climate change.
